One of the most interesting projects we have recently been involved in is the development of automatic productivity report system. Based on Microsoft's SQL server database the system collects every period of uptime,throughput and downtime. The operator is prompted by a display screen for each downtime reason and a downtime shift report is automatically generated at the end of each shift.
Over time standards for each product type can be developed and each operator and shift are measured against this standard. A large number of reports are available to measure individual operators performance over time and KPI reports for each machine generated by month.
